Attendance Information for Absent Students

When a student returns from an absence, they must bring a signed note from a parent/guardian that includes the date(s) of the absence and the reason.

• Email Option: A copy of the excuse may also be emailed to CEWSAttendance@charleston.k12.sc.us.

• Medical Absences: If the absence is due to illness and medical care was received, a doctor’s note is required.

Timely submission of absence notes ensures accurate attendance records.
