Uniforms
Overview
We follow a uniform policy at CEWS Middle School to foster a sense of belonging, provide a safe school environment, and create a positive, focused learning culture.
Tops
- Solid blue, gray, or white shirt, sweatshirt, or jacket
- Must be free of graphics, icons, or brand names larger than a quarter
- Tops must cover shoulders and midriff (no crop tops or spaghetti straps)
- Hoods and hats (bandanas, bonnets, headscarves) are not allowed to be worn during the school day
Bottoms
- Khaki, navy, or black pants
- Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be worn to at least mid-thigh
- Jeans with no rips above the knee may be worn with CEW Spirit Wear
Shoes
- Must be closed toed - example, tennis shoes or boots
- Backless shoes, flip-flops, slides, slippers, “Crocs”, and shoes with open toes are NOT permitted
Other Guidelines
- Leggings/jeggings, pajama bottoms, sweatpants, athletic shorts are not premitted
- Accessories/clothing that displays profanity, weapons, violence, alcohol/drugs/tobacco, or other suggestive phrases are prohibited
- Any accessories or jewelry considered unsafe by school administration will not be allowed on school campus
ID Badges
All students will be given an ID badge and lanyard that must be worn around the neck while on campus
Dress Down Days
School sponsored dress down days may allow for some of these items. Details for these days will be shared as they come up on the calendar.
Please Note: Students who violate the uniform policy will contact parents/guardians
and report to a designated area until allowed item arrives.
